Greetings, families!
Sixth grade had a wonderful start to the school year. Best of all, we had very little homework to worry about tonight! Please make sure you begin checking your child's planner every night, starting tonight, as it is the most frequent source of information regarding your child's work load, calendar items, etc.
We spent the majority of our day reviewing school and classroom processes. This serves to keep our students informed and prepared, reducing the frequency of negative consequences and keeping our environment safe and enjoyable!
Processes reviewed included:
We also enjoyed playing a few ice-breaking games focused upon Improv activities. I can already tell that this is a wonderfully thoughtful, creative and energetic group of students!
Please remember that tomorrow is Back to School Night! You are invited to come and learn a little bit about this year's expectations and the many wonderful topics we will explore. Back to School Night begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.
Finally, please take a minute to sign up for your child's October conference. Conference slots are offered on a first-come-first-served basis. You can sign up at this link: October Conference Sign Up
I look forward to a delightful and fruitful year!
