Ms. Venture’s Updates:
Sixth grade is gearing up for Outdoor School. This is the culminating trip for our Ocean unit. Look for information coming home this week.
Seventh grade is learning about Genetics. Last week we bred dragons for a hands-on look at Mendelian Genetics. Next week we will move into evolutionary changes.
Night of the Notables is nearly over! Literature period will be occupied by this project. We will get back into our normal literature block in May.
Students have the goal of earning five stars on all Typing Club levels. They should work on this throughout the remainder of the year.
Mr. Vieira’s Updates:
Students are receiving 4 words a day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. They are tested on words these same days.
Sixth grade will be rushing through a whirlwind of topics for the next couple of weeks. Social Studies will be on hold while they visit outdoor school.
Seventh grade has begun the study of WWII and the Holocaust. This will be a unit that will extend until the end of the year. This month’s field trip is a direct tie-in to our study.
Night of the Notables is nearly over! Writing period will be occupied by this project. We will move on to other writing skills the first week of May.
